Professional Bio
Stephen S. Park, MD, is Professor & Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the Director of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and at the University of Virginia. His primary clinic interest is in the field of facial plastic surgery, particularly facial reconstruction, rejuvenation, and rhinoplasty. He has been the president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), a Director with the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, vice-chair of the Otolaryngology Residency Review Committee (RRC), and member of the executive committee of the Triological Society’s Council. Dr Park grew up outside Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Amherst College in 1984. He then attended the University of Michigan Medical School and received his Otolaryngology training at Tufts University/Boston University Combined Program, followed by a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery with Drs. Ted Cook and Tom Wang in Portland, Oregon. In 1994 Dr. Park joined the clinical faculty at the University of Virginia. He is married with two grown sons.
